Day One.

Up until now I have only shared this revelation with friends and those close to me, but here I am with an official announcement.  I'm standing up on the virtual mountaintop and sending it out into the great blue ether of the interwebs.  Feel free to hold me accountable, actually that's the main goal here.

TOMORROW IS MY FIRST DAY OF WORK.

That's right people you heard it here first, I am officially self employed as of tomorrow morning.  I am filled with excitement and, admittedly, some apprehension as I approach what will probably be the most difficult challenge I have ever presented myself with.  I am going to make it, making.  Through all of my life's adventures, forks, blips, doodads, lallygags and so forth there is one thing I have always been sure of and that is that I love making stuff.  All kinds of stuff.  Cool stuff.  And I'm pretty good at it, too.  I hope people will want the things I make and perhaps, want to learn a little about how to make some cool stuff for themselves.  So  now, after a quarter century of futzing around I am finally going to dive in and try and make my passion into my work and my work into a living.

I know I've sort of set an odd precedent here but this is not a personal blog.  Well not, too personal anyway.  I have a lot of fun things planned for this particular blob of ether and lots of crafty, thrifty, fashiony, adventures to take you on, so I recommended staying on the edge of your seat.  Okay maybe sit back a little, this could take awhile.

Always,
